Registration Fees
The registration fees are fixed each year by the French Ministry of Education. The following prices are those for academic year 2006-2007.
Degree Students (students wishing to obtain an INPL diploma) :
- Graduate Engineering programs : 552.57 € /year
- Master’s programs : 263.57 € /year
- PhD Programs : 372.57 € / year
Non degree students
Exchange students (Erasmus students and students from partner universities) must register and settle the registration fees at their home university. Exchange students are registered at INPL as "stagiaire" (non-degree student).
Erasmus students and students from partner universities: laboratory project and/or 3 to 9 month-courses : about 25 €
Other sudents
Students who do not belong to either of the previous categories should contact the International Office of the schools where they want to study.
Tuition Fees
The following multinational Master’s programs are subject to semestrial or yearly tuition fees:
- Food Safety and Management Master’s program: 7,500 € for the two years.
- Advanced Materials Science and Engineering Master’s program: 1,500 € per semester. (European Students are exempt from tuition fees)
Most engineering and master’s programs are subject to additional fees covering mainly textbooks, internet access, and photocopies (on average 100 €/year ).
Health and Personal insurance
All students must have a health insurance and a personal liability insurance.
All “degree students” must take out the French student health insurance plan (about 190 €).
Exchange students may have their own health insurance with a coverage of 30,000 € for the duration of their stay in France. For European Exchange Students the European Health Card is sufficient. For Students from Quebec the SE 401 Q – 106 form is sufficient. In the absence of a health insurance from their country of origin, European students and students from Quebec will have to take out the French student health insurance plan (about 190 €).
Students are also advised to subscribe to a repatriation scheme on medical grounds.
All students, whether exchange or degree students, must also have a personal liability insurance policy (which covers bodily injury and/or property damage which may be caused by the student to third parties while studying in France).
The cost is about 12 € / year.
Scholarships
Non European students
Scholarships are mainly available to students who seek to obtain a French diploma. Possibilities include scholarships granted by French embassies, the Lorraine Regional Council, the Agence Universitaire pour la Francophonie, the student’s country of origin, the Eiffel program, the Alban Program, the N+i program…). Applicants are expected to contact the funding organizations directly about the possibility of obtaining a grant.
The Erasmus Mundus Amase Master’s program offers around 25 scholarships (42,000 € for the two years) to excellent non-European candidates. For further information, consult the following website : www.amase-master.net
European students
European students can obtain an Erasmus grant from their home university on condition that their University has signed a Socrates bi-lateral agreement with INPL.
